first impressions are good, what i first saw and understood is nothing to what is in the game now 2 hours later, so for me it's the first impressions that need to be captured and kept if the game is wanting to expand from EA to a AAA title,
my opinions to do this is give the users more options at start up, as it is, 50% may be put off with the slow pace of the game, or limited options on offer, remember more sales come from positive feedback than bad press, it's common sense, if i reviewed this, and only saw a limited amount of what's in the game, it wouldn't score well, so imo again only give uses the choice, which includes reviews etc to see what mid to late games look and feel like, this way the game will imo get a better and more appropriate score than what a early game review may get.
it's for me too slow at the start, with limited options, so i would mark it down for it, and so will many others, alter this with a simple in game save if you don't wish to alter the design and offer sliders so others can see a mid to late game challenge

it costs nothing to bundle a mid term game with it, and imo would give a better overall impression, and also what have you to lose
