Any way to customize colors for a side?

When you capture a ship, its markings color changes. Would there be any way we could make the colors for the factions be variable?

It can be done. (There are dev options for swapping around your current empire's color scheme.) The problem is that most of the alternate color schemes we have setup right now don't really look that good, and fixing that would be a moderately big job. So at the moment, most of the alternate color schemes only come into play if you capture a ship or setup a map that has duplicates of some of the major factions.

I mean more as a player choice to change the color of their side ( human and phidi colors, to me are very close to what the gremak pirates get). An alternate override choice would be nice, if it was possible.
