If there is shield regeneration in this game I don't see it, which either means its so low you cannot measure it without a numerical ui or not implemented.
Battles are quite fast, and generally if a shield goes down your wrecking them in the next shot 2/3 of the time.
so I propose that the shield regenerator be remade into a forward shield emitter. This will give hardpoint wielding ships better forwards defence in situations like front line battling and planetary assaults where you need to travel deep to get a shot in.
