Unfortunately GOG doesn't generate offline installers for alternate branches (nor preserve them for old versions). This is a GOG problem that we're all (GOG users) regularly asking for them to alter. There are a bunch of items in the community wishlist for the site asking for these.

EDIT: Looking over the screenshot -- maybe it's a bug with the new sensor display thing? I only see sensor circles around my scouts and not my planets or other ships.

Yeah... This is a case of "put them on trade ships in the corner of your empire and forget about them. Or disband the ships while they're populated just to get rid of them. Gremak's really hard to play because you can only barely use their slavery mechanics.

I always felt it was strange that, of all the empires, the Tinkers functioned oddly/differently when annexed. The others give you their big perks, but not the Tinkers. Nice hunting to track it all down!
