I think it would be of great use to add this somewhere into the game - either the tech or the ship weapon information.

Is there any chance that you could add missile/strikecraft HP to the UI otherwise its difficult to figure out how it stacks up against points defense.
Also I was sure that torpedoes had more than 2 times the health of missiles. They are just so tanky compared to missiles

Hmm...so is it more important for PD to have high Accuracy or high Damage? How do I decide between Laser and Coilgun PD in the beginning?

This is generally why I use laser or turbolaser pd with rapid fire, more chances to get a hit.
