I think there may be a scaling problem with different kinds of colonists. This is an enemy world, so maybe that makes a difference, too.

Yeah, I can replicate that one. The scaling should be correct in the UI for controlled worlds, but, the Ship Status panes and non-controlled planet panes both share the same UI elements, and both are overdue for an update. (You may notice that their frames have a slightly different style than any of the frames in the newer UI elements.)

edit: Nevermind! Looks like a change I made in the last day or so lead to the decapitation of all gremak pop icons. Um. That's a bug. Give me a minute...

edit2: Should be fixed on dev, r14294.

I consistently hear a loud "pop" when starting the game. It happens whether I see the updater or not.

Is this something that's started recently, or an issue you've had for a while?
Do you have music enabled?

I think I first noticed it about a month ago, but it may have been before that. It happens while the SiS logo is in the middle of the screen before the game proper starts. I have Music volume at 0.

game_643 is a bug I got at the end of a turn, maybe something to do with farming?

ETA: I was not able to Igonre it and keep going.
ETA: Reloading from the autosave did not allow me to continue.

Thanks for this report. The problem was related to the interaction between farming and the "containment fields" tech. As of r14322 (currently on 'dev'), your trade ship's ability to earn coins, and their ability to carry food, should both be increased after researching "containment fields". (In older builds, the bonus was applied inconsistently, which could lead to logic errors like this one.)

game_644 looks to be a slightly different bug than before. Ignoring it did not allow the turn to be processed, so this is another game-stopper.

thanks again. it's another glitch caused by the same core issue. should be fixed on dev. (r14345).

I was able to move to the next turn with the current dev build. Although I can't seem to find the version inside the game.

It should appear above the main menu when you first start the game, in the top-right hand corner. "Beta build version: XXXX".

Would it be possible to have it visible in the Options screen so I don't have to quit to the main menu?

ETA: Never mind, I can get back to the game from the main menu without having to reload the game.

Yeah, it is persistent, although I'm about to test with a total system reboot to see if that resolves it.

I actually have the sound off atm. Do I need to turn it on?

The sound errors are actually date stamped as having happened on Thursday, so, whatever's causing the disappearing bases, it's probably not immediately connected to those errors. There have been a handful of reports of strangeness related to the game's sound lately, however, so I'm interested in anything you might have noticed.
