The Stars in Shadow standalone updater appears to be having trouble connecting to the server to let me launch from it now, with no other apparent network problems on my end.

Log from my last attempt. Was hanging indefinitely at 'updater\client_update.lua:547' until I hit the update button after an hour or two, which appended the rest to the log.

Something has gone wrong with the update server. Sven has been notified, and he'll take a look when he has some time.

There are no (new) updates there anyway.

I've upgraded my old XP computer and tried to install SiS - it'd timed out. Had to copy the folder from another computer (it's over 4 gig for some reason, BTW). The game runs now, but in-game error reporting and update time out:

I've posted a question about this into http://stars-in-shadow.com/forum/viewto ... =75#p11634, but didn't get a reply. Does Sven read the forum? Does it make sense to post errors into "Testing"?

I see the forum is up. Great! Are there plans to start the updater/error reporter again?
