its not a hinderance but it is annoying, when you buy whatever it is you buy you cannot change it, but its locking the queue as well, so I cannot add or change anything there till the next turn.

Sorry that you find it annoying, but it's intentional. Rush-buying is an irrevocable decision; if the player were allowed to change the production target afterward, the money spent on rush buying would be lost, and it's fairly easy to do that accidentally. I think there are very few cases in which the player would really want to change the production knowing that the rush-buy cost will be lost.

No you misread, or I misspell.

When you buy something it's locked in, as it should be.

However the queue of items behind what you buy gets locked as well. And it should not be. Items 2 through 5 should be editable.

I can't replicate this bug -- whatever combination of buying / queuing I try, it all seems to work as intended. Specifically, items 2-5 can be changed, but, the purchased production is locked.

its been a while and several patches, did you try buying something with an empty queue and then try to add an item?

Yeah, it all works as intended for me. It's perhaps worth noting that there are a couple different reasons you might not be able to queue up a project. For example, if the implied queue would use more improvement space than the planet has available, you'll get a little "Improvement Slots Full" notification if you hover over the en-queue icon -- but, no error message or anything if you just right-click.

There should probably be an error message or something in the right-click case.
