How Far Out is Diplomacy?

I'm really just waiting to dive back in when diplomacy is implemented and was curious to know what the timeline is for that.
Also, with the new Master of Orion being announced for later this year is the goal to beat it out the gate? I worry it might overshadow a smaller indie game...and I don't want that for you guys.

We're currently working on a series of UI improvements. The next big things we need to tackle are changes to the population/morale/resource system, and the diplomacy system. The two are inter-related, so I'm not sure exactly what elements of each will be done first, or exactly when.
I don't think there has been an announced release date yet for the new Master of Orion. I agree that it would be beneficial if Stars in Shadow could be released first.

Announced or not, it's planned to be in Early Access by early Fall and release before end of year.
I don't remember how I know that.
Anyway, keep up the good work. Your art style will definitely remain appealing, despite outside efforts!

It might not be bad idea to release at the same time or after Moo and gain from the publicity.Pandora sold a lot after Beyond Earth got released as a poor mans AC.

Pandora was released almost full a year before Beyond Earth.

Yes but sales spiked when BE was released according to Siltherine.

I would not be surprised, but I don't think that had anything to do with the respective release dates.
It also may have had something to do with Beyond Earth being disappointing to many. As a player, I'm hoping that the new Master of Orion is not as disappointing.
