Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

I think there may be a scaling problem with different kinds of colonists. This is an enemy world, so maybe that makes a difference, too.

Yeah, I can replicate that one. The scaling should be correct in the UI for controlled worlds, but, the Ship Status panes and non-controlled planet panes both share the same UI elements, and both are overdue for an update. (You may notice that their frames have a slightly different style than any of the frames in the newer UI elements.)Gyrfalcon wrote:I think there may be a scaling problem with different kinds of colonists. Is this something that's started recently, or an issue you've had for a while?Gyrfalcon wrote:I consistently hear a loud "pop" when starting the game. It happens whether I see the updater or not.
I think I first noticed it about a month ago, but it may have been before that. It happens while the SiS logo is in the middle of the screen before the game proper starts. I have Music volume at 0.sven wrote:Is this something that's started recently, or an issue you've had for a while?
Do you have music enabled?
Thanks for this report. The problem was related to the interaction between farming and the "containment fields" tech. As of r14322 (currently on 'dev'), your trade ship's ability to earn coins, and their ability to carry food, should both be increased after researching "containment fields". (In older builds, the bonus was applied inconsistently, which could lead to logic errors like this one.)Gyrfalcon wrote:game_643 is a bug I got at the end of a turn, maybe something to do with farming?
thanks again. it's another glitch caused by the same core issue. should be fixed on dev. (r14345).Gyrfalcon wrote:game_644 looks to be a slightly different bug than before. Ignoring it did not allow the turn to be processed, so this is another game-stopper.
I was able to move to the next turn with the current dev build. Although I can't seem to find the version inside the game.sven wrote:thanks again. it's another glitch caused by the same core issue. should be fixed on dev. It should appear above the main menu when you first start the game, in the top-right hand corner. "Beta build version: XXXX".Gyrfalcon wrote:I was able to move to the next turn with the current dev build. Although I can't seem to find the version inside the game.
Yeah, it is persistent, although I'm about to test with a total system reboot to see if that resolves it.sven wrote: Do they remain invisible after shutting down the game and reloading?

The sound errors are actually date stamped as having happened on Thursday, so, whatever's causing the disappearing bases, it's probably not immediately connected to those errors. There have been a handful of reports of strangeness related to the game's sound lately, however, so I'm interested in anything you might have noticed.halftea wrote:I actually have the sound off atm.
