Slightly unrelated, but it's kinda weird that you can construct a medium or large planet in an empty orbit, but you can't construct a planet if it already has something in the orbit.
However, constructing and terraforming planets is so late in the game that I doubt it matters much to competitive ...

Tiny rocks and gas giants question
Is there anyway to build a colony or a planet in a system that has only tiny rocks and/or gas giants?
I'm guessing that the answer is no. It seems that you cannot colonize tiny worlds and you can't build a planet unless you already have a colony in the system.

If it said what it was carrying followed by Transport, that'd help. Marine Transport. Mech transport. Human Transport. Thresher Transport.
A little graphic of what it's carrying stamped onto the ship would be even better.
I do find myself clicking to see what transports are carrying quite often.

If I turn on AI control for one turn, the AI does some stuff, then there is an AI "do-end-turn-actions" that moves all my fleets around and adjust all populations and also adjusts all my planet's productions, then the next turn starts and the AI does some stuff before I can then turn AI off. I know this has been discussed before and I haven't read everything. I love the biomes and the race benefits related to them. I just spend too much time in the game micromanaging this, especially on large maps.

Yeah, I read about the planned overhaul. I'm looking forward to it. And, yes, bionomics is early enough and cheap enough to merit getting in most of my games. I'd say it's positioned well.
