Populations screen

Love this game very much, I think it would benefit so much from an additional UI interface which for lack of a better term I would call the population screen. This would allow the player to keep track of units and planet management much better. The screen could let the player have an overview of which population types are where, and let the player sort this according to
- species (I think you'd have to cycle through all possible species) including ground combat units (so you can finally find where your hovertanks are)
- population location by planet maximal population (so you can find those newly colonized planets you wanted to send your overcrowded peoples to)
- population location by planet current population (this happens to be the default setting for the production screen now)
- planet type
This would make the mid- to end-game much more enjoyable, thank you
