In particular, would you send me the contents of your '/logs' directory? Many thanks.

auto upload tool for the crash didn't seem to come on either, retried game exe and it's updated game again, so maybe either a bad patch or missed . lost files etc, but trying save again now

It looks like it could a memory allocation failure during load -- it could just be that you've finally managed to create a galaxy that's so large and complex that the game can no longer handle it. (My own machine has real difficulties loading your 500-star test maps, at this point, though Arioch's can often manage it.)

edited by sven: Or, maybe, as you say, it was something else. Glad it's working now.

games fine loading and running, no sigh of slow downs or sluggish at all, if i was to be very honest i'd say game works and runs no differently at all for me on the smallest to largest map, just takes longer to load on the first run, apart from that it's been great, first issue, and as it wasn't on game load, but patch load, it was for me a bad or partial patch error, hopefully the uploaded info will say either way, but now i can again try and finish this monster battle off  :ugeek:

planet killers are harsh, but works all the same, doesn't give much time or defenses make little difference, but will throw many with later to like me end games, adding depth and another bit of hard work to do, which is all well and good as it's adds plenty to both side this late in

i also like the fact that you can or sometimes now bring older or newly discovered tech online if you take over a planet with some on, much impressed :ugeek:
