Also in on a DLC got my wallet for that
In its current state the game is the best space 4x out on the market IMO by a wide margin thanks to art, design decisions, performance, tactical combat, diplomacy and AI
Yes there are some bugs I wish were fixed and some balance changes but this is the best base that could be built upon and the DLC plans and assets shown were very promising

Oh yeah, I absolutely agree on SiS being basically the top space 4X out now. So yes, here's hoping they pick things back up.

Would it be possible to bundle together whatever new assets have been already created for the game and release that as an update/DLC in case the original DLC plans cannot be realized due to lack off financing and/or time?

e.g.:
If any of the new ships types have been created already could be used as pirate/neutral fleets scattered around the map during map generation to fight and capture in case player wants to use them (in this case they would be unique ships that can never be produced so that part would not need to be coded)
If a new faction is semi-finished it might be rolled out as a mercenary and/or Marauder faction replacing some of the Marauder factions scattered around which are always Gremak (using existing Marauder coloring, one portrait for leader and no need to faction specific tech/starting planet etc)
Any new weapon system could be inserted directly into the tech tree available via research or triggered as unique discovery for Derelict colonies (forging even tech tree integration)

Here's hoping Arioch and Sven can see to updating us on the state of things, even if the update is 'we're done. no further development'. Which would be a shame, but at least knowing for sure would settle the mind. They can be certain that they'd have MY money, at least, for the suggested future expansions.

Work on the second DLC is on hold at the moment. The current dev build has an early implementation of the new terraforming system with a few of the new in-progress planet assets. I have a few assets for the new faction, but none of them are in game. There's nothing in the current build that could be pushed live without additional work.

I'd still like to work on the assets as I can find time. I can't speak for Sven as I believe he's kept pretty busy in his current job.

Glad to hear there's still something potentially in the works. Keep us posted as the situation develops, please; I'm always eager to see more finished on SiS.

Still patiently hoping. Time is the hardest thing to find, always.

Maybe some Computer Sciences interns would be willing to participate with consultative help from Sven?

Hopefully at least one of the planned new factions will make it in eventually
Its 2024 and this one still still the best space 4x - only difference is that the kids got old enough now to ask me to run this one :)

How about a back picture of Heiropolin, so he can stop sending Yunki to act in his stead on the diplomacy screens? Poor guy needs to stop being so self-conscious about his butt.

It would be nice to have a Haduir minor colony leader portrait, as well. It's a little weird that both Teros and Haduir minor colonies have a Teros leader portrait.

Just played this again all week and it holds up well. With or without work it will stay on my play list. The visuals make it ageless is a sense.
