Your Old Saves May Be Broken

Postby sven » Tue Feb 03, 2015 7:39 pm

I've just pushed some change sets to the stable distro that may cause save games from earlier builds to break.

The changes include:

1) All military transports should now be able to carry planetary assault forces.
2) Many heavier ship hulls have more system hardpoints.
3) Your science leader's abilities should now function as per their description in the Technology screen.

Also -- in the not too distant future, there should be a patch notes system in place, so you'll see notices of this sort when the updater is downloading new builds :)

Many thanks for all your helpful feedback!

Good deal! Will fire it up again tonight!

Out of curiosity, what time zones are you guys in?

Also, when do you think we can expect the control scheme pass?

I'm on Pacific Time, and Sven is on Eastern Time.

Which control scheme are you referring to?

The situational mouse controls for combat and not having to hit move for each move on the strategy overview.

My guess is that the tactical pass will start next week. There's a lot to do there.
