Edit: From what you said, looks as if the line I wasn't taking into account was 'charters+=min(1,e.raw_trade_capacity/raw_trade_capacity)'. I think because my brain was reading it as 'raw trade capacity divided by raw trade capacity', and parsing it out to 1.

I'm seeing a bit in code where Phidi empires either give a bonus to the number of trade routes they give their partners, or get a bonus in the number of routes they get from partners, and I'm not sure what applies since I'm not sure what the scope of empire.species is here. Which is it?

I didn't think it was done, was just responding to zolobolo I'm willing to wait quite a while to do a Stars in Shadow Let's Play again as long as I believe DLC4 is coming. :) And, in the interests of helping support the project, just tossed a donation to Ashdar Games.

Yeah, I know it will take a while, but I still want DLC 4 or the knowledge development is halted before I start LPing this game again. If SiS gets a culture system, it will feed in nicely to my general LP style, so being patient will be rewarding.

I think, for the moment, extending the current special case (which I can confirm applies given the behavior of captured ships, which have all systems destroyed on capture) is probably the best option. We can always assume there's some sort of 'emergency on-site repair' sufficient to get them limping...
