One thing I noted in the bug thread is that Viscid benefit from Cloning and Longevity techs, which makes no sense (your empire isn't going to be providing cutting-edge medical treatment to the blob pests that resist being wiped out!). The resolution issue seems to have been resolved at some point for the Failing Fleet event on 4k resolution:

I have reinstalled the runtime not long ago that likely did the trick - before the two options were bumping heads together (no pixel spacing in between them)

Indeed it has been a while - I hope we will see a new DLC for the game before energy prices hike to a point where running the PC is more costly then reenacting the game :)

Nice summary

Ashdar Light Cruiser was my Nr1 as per specs for the small craft (and the model) - was also cheaper before but that was a bit OP :)

Well the game came out 5 years ago We had one DLC in the same year One year after there have been many rebalancing updates which the game indeed needed so the lul has been for around 3 years now - its a lot of time in general for DLCs but seemed longer due to the short distance between main and firs...
