I did not like the leaders in Moo2 because they are basically a stat and a picture.I much prefer trait systems that at least give some personality ala Totalwar, Crusader kings.Leaders should offer some immersion and not just about being a malus or why bother having them.

Need to see a lot more of the game and evidence of an A.I before I put more money into indie 4x games.Sorry guys but too many shitty abandoned indie 4x games in recent years,ala Lords of the black sun.

Many games penalize the bigger empire to lessen the snowball effect.I think bigger empires should get huge penalize effects for both realism and gameplay. I also think tech trees should never run out before the game is over.If the player want's to max out a tech tier oneshould have to focus on that ...

I think games with tactical battles are better with much lower ship counts.The economy should be balanced for that.Turn based combat with lots of ships was tedious in late game Moo2.

The thing lacking from most recent 4x games is immersion and interesting exploration.Does the game have a strong theme? Do you discover mysteries while exploring,super techs,space monster,minor races,ect. I have also noticed they have racial population points.What meaning does this have politically....

Map size and range.

Does the game have a range mechanic.The screenshot doesn't show anything.

The map also looks pretty small and with planets close together.Are there maps with epic breadth.

Game looks great BTW.
