Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

If a planet has more than 7 improvement slots, the glyphs are leaving the boundaris of their GUI box to the left. The second planetary defense slot is also colliding with the output row slots.png They probably should scale like the pop icons. What screen resolution are you running at? That only hap...

That doesn't bother me too much, but I know it drives some min-maxers crazy.

Re: Population Morale and Slavery

Game 1226, Dev R16742 I invaded Alioth and was happy to find the Thresher client race. They were still upset about the whole invasion thing (they even fought in the defense) but they had no problem being shipped to other planets. Maybe the Enfi fix made everbody too travel happy ;) Most population ...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

Normally, when icons overlap, clicking repeatedly on the same spot should cycle through the available selections.

Eventually there will be a zoom feature for the strategic map.

Re: Research Switching Mechanics

Implausibility can become a gameplay issue when it makes gameplay non-intuitive.

bjg wrote:If you don't allow to transfer over the RP people will immediately ask for a way to keep the suspended research project (like you do with the construction). Doubt you have time for that now.

Shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Research Switching Mechanics

If you can stockpile science or switch research targets without penalty (which are fundamentally the same thing), you aren't researching any faster, but you are doing so without having to make a choice or commit to a plan. You can start research on an expensive infrastructure technology, like Artifi...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

I believe that's how the system worked originally, but arioch talked me out of it on the grounds of "realism" or something equally foolish :) If you can stockpile research (or production) without penalty instead of having to choose a target, then that's the optimal way to play, since you ...

If you can think of better ways to make slaves useful, I'm always glad to hear suggestions.

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

For me, best case would be if the unused research points would be stockpiled and not go to narnia  I believe that's how the system worked originally, but arioch talked me out of it on the grounds of "realism" or something equally foolish :) If you can stockpile research (or produ...

Re: Population Morale and Slavery

We will adjust the numbers as necessary. We want slaves to be useful for Gremak-style play without making them mandatory for everyone to use, and one way to do that is to require the slaver to "spend" them to get maximum use, and then need to acquire more. As for the plausibility of the pr...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

If this happens again should I copy/paste the stack trace, or is a brief description + savegame enough? I suspect a savegame and description is sufficient. Sven is on his way to Germany for Gamescom, where he'll be until Sunday, so he won't be able to do much in the way of bug fixes this week, but ...

Re: Lore questions about governments

The Marauders should now be units instead of population, acting similar to tanks, and so if you've captured some, that's probably a bug.

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

Queing an item with an running endless task (like research or trade), should cancel the active task and make the new item the current task. Another possibility is that when a technology is discovered, the Research activity could move on to the next item in the queue if there is one, or resume with ...

Not sure what that was, but I can assure you that we're not the prankster types.
