I think I know what happened to Gryfalcon here.

When you have a pirate encounter 2 events happen:

- you get a diplomacy window
- you get an unresolved encounter

Both events must be resolved and they must be resolved in this order. If you close or dismiss the diplomacy window and then click ...

I think these rules are sensible, but I can see that the way the UI presents them may be unclear and confusing, and this is something that we need to work on.

Attacks are optional; if you choose not to attack, the battle won't happen. Defending is not optional; if you don't resolve it, the battle will be auto-resolved.

About the fleet composition thing, maybe a "pull" mechanic would be easier to use. At the moment there are lots of planets individually ordered to build ships which are then individually "pushed" into a fleet. To select a tech to research, you have to left-click on a check-mark symbol, next to the tech's name.

Thanks a lot for that info! I would have never tried that.

A suggestion for the research screen: Maybe changing the check-mark symbol to an arrow (left arrow to be precise) would help ...

Hello!

I am Dinkelsen, I was allowed into the Beta yesterday and I had a very similar experience like Gryfalcon at my first hours with the game, so I figured, I'd put my feedback here. Please forgive me if my assumption is wrong.

The installer worked fine and the game launched without any problems ...

I would also say that the font fits well with the graphics style of the entire game, not only the UI.
I would also agree that there is a slight collision in stayle when comparing the headlines font to the main text font. It is only slight, but noticable.
