However, in a one-click move action, we can't be sure what the players intentions are when they have a fleet selected, and then mouse over a star. Are they planning to move the fleet to the star, or are they planning to select the star system, and interact with the planets?
The question is, are ...

Re: Current State
I still think a zooming out/in function is desperately needed. I still think that having to click move before every move is clunky and obtrusive. I think having to click on any action before doing something in combat is also clunky. These things should be a priority, IMHO.

Re: First Impression
Hi Dinkelsen! Nice to have you with us here :)
I found out that the scout and colony ship seem to be able to fly farther than the destroyers. I was denied my revenge. Why is that so? I looked at the ship design screen. The scout has far more options than the destroyer. Why? Does it have some ...

Re: Which File To Run?
Use either 'update.exe' if you want the launcher, or 'sis.exe', if you want to start the game directly. Personally, I'd recommend using the launcher, so you can see if there were any updates after the last session.

Re: Suggest - Features and Improvements
But, what matters for gameplay purposes is really aspect ratio, more than absolute size, and given the way the Windows OS works, there's no natural way to impose that kind of restriction.

Re: Suggest - Features and Improvements
Ok. From a design perspective, having ESC do so many different things depending on context feels a bit confusing, but, I just enabled an 'ESC opens the main menu if everything else is closed' behavior on 'dev', and it feels fine to me. Not sure we still need the F10 menu open hook.... But, it's ...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues
can you be more specific? if you're far enough from the edge of the legal move area, the transparent move-preview ship should disapear, and RMB-clicks will have no effect. i'm not certain this is the best possible behavior -- and the range at which legal move-clamping occurs can be adjusted.... but ...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues
That said, I've tweaked the behavior a bit on 'dev'. As of the latest build, the cursor will change to suggest that you're in "panning" mode after the mouse button has been held down for 0.1 seconds...
...I think that's about as good a compromise as I can manage.
Works great now, thank you ...

RMB-clicking on notification bubbles removes the news slide from the bottom of the screen, but leaves a visible foreground ‘stripe’ behind

‘Natural scrolling’ and panning mechanics
An option to reverse the direction of panning relative to cursor move would be nice, so that you ‘drag’ the map itself, not the viewport over it (this will also help in the long run, when you port the game to tablets, where this type of motion prevails).

Window mode resolutions and resizing
There's more we could in theory be doing here, specifically, we could try to remember the size and location of the game window, along with the fullscreen state.
After switching from ‘fullscreen’ to ‘windowed’ mode, the resulting window can be resized arbitrary, resulting in very weird visual ...
