Is it supposed to be possible to transport military units in colony ships? Yes. As Chasm pointed out, you can load any ground unit (which includes colonists, armored units, or raider units) into any ship capable of carrying population, but they may not be able to perform that ship's main function. ...

After playing it a lot more I have to say that I love Stellaris' early game to death but once you expand a little and get surrounded by other empires it kinda bogs down and becomes repetative, with you moving your big-blob-o'-ships from one target to the next until you hit a bigger blob than yours.....

Version 15373 'dev' 'Outposts and space stations are now treated as different customizations of the same base hull.' Not sure what happened exactly, but after installing the latest update (02:02.00PM Saturday, 03/19/16 (15039) : 98e4775a41e75df656318c1ec2d81181e0587aa2), my Update.exe file now has 0 bytes and, of course, won't run.

'Reinstalling' the game using sis_installer.exe fixed the problem.
