Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

hi hi I blame "quantums" for the negative population. (That's sci fi, right?) In other news, I found what I can only assume is a bug that allows me to create a planet out of a gas giant. (As much as I love being able to turn gas giants into planets, I suppose reporting it is the resp...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

hi hi

I don't know if this is a new bug, but in the middle of a planetary bombardment, I managed to get a negative population.

Re: Missiles everywhere

hi hi I've had some good luck in the past by surrounding my main ships with point defense escorts, but it is a lot harder to pull off on the defense, since defenders don't have time to arrange their ships into a formation where the point defense is covering the right spots. Have you ever had one of ...

Missiles everywhere

hi hi So I recently played a game where the AI kicked my flank in a number of different ways, and I realized something about the nature of missiles. Beam weapons might work in very small scale battles, but anything above a couple ships, missiles sorta become the single best option available. In the ...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

hi hi I am not sure if this is a problem with the animation or a problem with graphics cards, but as I've been playing the Phidi, I've been noticing that the churning water animation that plays over certain sections of their ships and over their adviser panels will occasional skip or flicker. It hap...

Re: Suggest - Features and Improvements

hi hi I recently played through another game and I came across a couple of oddities that I'm curious about. First off, I was trying out the newly functional torpedoes with the Yoral, and I noticed that when I put missiles and torpedoes on the same ship, firing a torpedo would reduce the number of mi...

Re: What happens to transports

hi hi It just goes to show how important infrastructure is in space travel, but perhaps another option would be to give the conquering player some boost in money resources to represent the stuff they captured and then automatically scrapped. (If warships ever get an experience stat, perhaps a short ...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

hi hi

I came across a strange little bug just recently. Nothing game breaking, but still a little bit odd.

I was trying to build a military transport, and when the ship showed up in the colony production window, it was missing the modular transport section.

Re: copy?

hi hi

These puntaerne look like archetypal humans with white and black face paint. The Yoral is a blue fur covered hexapod with three eyes and clawed hands.

Re: What happens to transports

hi hi I don't remember that bug specifically, but I do know that pretty much every bug or crash I've experienced has happened when I've been either firing missiles or launching fighters. There was one bug where most of the screen went black, and I ended up needing to quit out and re-load after I sen...

What happens to transports

hi hi I got thinking the other day: "What happens to all of a faction's transports when they lose?" I assume nothing, but from there I got to thinking: "What sorts of things could a player who is losing use their extra transports for?" I present to you, Operation Decoy Fleet! dec...

Re: Planet Habitat Displays?

hi hi It may be the case that less information is the way to go, but I still feel like it would be helpful to at least have some information. To use an analogy, I don't know what exactly the color coded population growth figures for each race in a colony mean, but I don't think having them detracts ...

Re: Suggest - Features and Improvements

hi hi If you stick to 4 or 5 colors, you can make any given color represent a range of values. People are going to be most concerned with the highest value, since that is the desirable goal, so a perfect 4.0 might be the only single digit that needs its own color. Any range below that, people will k...

Re: Suggest - Features and Improvements

hi hi The percentages of a biome on each planet are already displayed on the planet's information. Perhaps there is a simple way to describe whether any given biome is being utilized or underutilized? You mentioned having a green outline for planets if moving a species to it would improve the popula...
