Some more I'm playing a huge game with lots of players, there are a few problems: * Diplomacy: Race X is now fighting Race Y. Except there are two Race Ys (i.e., 2 * Phidis), which is at war? * Diplomacy: "We want you to go to war with Race Y"... again, which one? The one I hate or the one...
I think I've figured it out. I have a software firewall. It was set to completely block SIS/64. Apparently SIS doesn't like this. If I allow it to access "localhost" it works. Or at least, that seems to be it. For some reason this is also affecting the save I sent. I'd suggest tweaking SIS...
Hmmm. So I managed to start the game today (the crash dialog stays in the background). But when I try and load my game, it crashes with the same dialog again (so there are now *two* of those dialogs up). So evidently there's also something broken in this save as well as whatever is causing the bug.....
Thanks for the prompt responses. I'm afraid it's none of these things. This is running on a proper PC, 16GB RAM, Ryzen 7 1700 CPU, discrete graphics card (Geforce GTX 1050 2GB). No virus scanner or anything that should be touching running programs. Plenty of free RAM (only about 6GB is in use right ...
During my game (that I now can't get back into) I came across these. Using the newest GOG version (second october patch). * Three Fleet combat. Me and my ally defending against the enemy who attacked my world. We won (well, my ally won...), but the results are the wrong way around. It's showing the ...
GOG version. Windows 7 64bit. Just upgraded to the latest version (used to work), now it doesn't start. Well, it does start but... * Run sis64, game starts but there's a tiny dialog behing the game that says: "DBGHELP.DLL too old". Game loads fine but it's impossible to do anything on the ...
Still enjoying this game, some more bugs/feedback. Version: 37981 Bugs: * Protracted battle against a Tinker carrier. I'm now at the point where it's showing "Interceptor x -1" (yes, minus 1) for their carrier. * Manual battle against the above carrier, it was whittling me down with its pd...
* I autocombatted a combat where one of my ships was in refit. I got this error after the autocombat (the ship was destroyed in the combat): Lua state\Orders\ship_refit.lua:120: refits is missing required field: ship -> all_ships[2042]._ref Lua state\Orders\ship_refit.lua:120: Lua state\Orders\ship_...
sven wrote:I'd like to be able to test the patch though -- do you still have a save where the bug was manifesting? If so, could you upload it (or email it to me at ashdar.games@gmail.com..?)
Some more suggestions/bugs: * population in transit don't consume any food. This allows you to "cheat" your way around starvation to some degree. * I worked around the lua error by changing the "else" on line 451 of pop_transports.lua to " elseif(planet.pop)" * I'm at t...
* The "trade ship" seems to default to having "armor brigade" in its cargo slot, rather than "cargo pods". That's not a trade ship, that's a troop transport. * I ended the turn and get a red error box up: Lua state\Orders\pop_transports.lua:453: attempt to index field '...
The "DGBHELP.DLL too old" bug seems to be sis64.exe only. It does not happen with sis.exe. (Windows 7 64 bit) My first guess would be that your computer is running out of memory when trying to startup the game. sis.exe has a lower memory footprint than sis64.exe, which could explain why i...
I have planets in a line: A - B - C * If I move ships A-C, I see an ETA of 4. But moving ships A-B has an ETA of 1, and ships (same design) from C-B has an ETA of 2, for a total ETA between them of 3. What's going on? * I autocombated a combat in a system where I have two planets. I lost the combat ...
