adding non-agression pact and the possibility for ai ally to cancel alliance , diplomacy penalty for bombing could lead in losing these pact with other faction .

modern and high-tech war doesn't mean no close-combat , wookie and klingons for example .

at low tech the primitive and big species have an advantage , wich they loose when they face smaller but better equiped foes later in the game.

drugs : immune to fear and pain , heavy use of steroids etc...

human carrier : base hull cost 6 instead of 4 , perhaps make it unique by adding a "built-in" spacemarines suttle , or a torpedo slot .

move the armor piercing mod from laser to ion/neutron , so ion for bypass armor and laser (turbo) for rapid fire .

remove empty star system , AI often stuck on medium maps . the early growing population mechanic is good , but techs cloning and longevity are too strong and remove any need of strategy for pop and troops ; perhaps tune down them a little and add some special tech like breeding slave for the gremak ...

perhaps you should remove money from the game and develope influence : ship maintenance with metal mercenary maintenance with influence . influence come from treaties/market/population . phidi bonus in market and treaties , yoral strength in population , a bio race could be dependent only on food li...

I think the Tinkers Forge only works for the Tinkers player, so the ability for other factions to salvage it is probably something that shouldn't work. tinkers forge don't work on starbases (tinker) , it's seem only built_in forges are working . human light carrier maintenance is 4 , seem a bit exc...

the beta branch on gog is called patch_testing , and delivers the same in_development patch as steam do , but stop on the last live patch .

hi ,

on gog the test patch access don't work anymore (live version only)

there is an another channel name in_development but it's the old alpha .

understable if you have too few return on testing from gog users .

not a huge problem , but i miss trying the new features .

a special abilitie for the human scavenger carrier : repair and replace

abilitie to replace 1 fighter/turn , and repair nearby ships armor and systems 5% , that would fit the survivalist/scavenger background of the human faction .

Humanity could access upgraded versions of her carrier and battleship (just a little bit) if reverse engineering lots of these enemy ships , that 's fit the ingenious scavenger background of human faction . Or hybrid version between factions captured ship (but that would make a lot of new designs ).
