Re: The Current Trade Model

I don't particularly mind that trade with a wealthier partner should be huge in relative terms- it just seems to me like perhaps it should be capped at something like three times the benefit the wealthier partner is getting, so that, for instance, we don't end up with the degenerate case I have seen...

Re: The Current Trade Model

The way foreign trade works (as far as I am aware) is that foreign routes are more profitable than domestic routes. When you sign a trade charter, any transports that are trading in domestic routes will switch to any available foreign routes. It's not a flat bonus; if you have no available transpor...

The Current Trade Model

Now, to start off, I want to say I actually approve of the current trade model, where each colony, outpost, and market contributes to trade capacity, you get a fraction of trading partners' trade capacity added to yours by trade agreements, and the increased value of foreign trade means you'll see a...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

Even after the batch of text corrections last patch, the descriptions for clicking on Opil, Gems, and Precious Metals are still incorrect for current observed values of those resources. The descriptions for clicking on the resources indicate a bonus of +5 coins per market for Opil and Gems, and +2 c...

Re: Minor question about Tinkers

That I knew, just wasn't entirely sure how long they and their Dzibix have been around. But Arioch nicely resolved that.

Re: Can We Talk About Diplomacy?

I think it is absolutely required that there should be effects in place that render alliance with two different factions at war with one another an unstable situation. The current diplomatic logic has no penalty for being allied to both sides in a war, which obviously makes diplomatic victory trivia...

A patch for this one went up about 10 minutes ago. Hopefully should be sorted out as of r22099.

It is indeed resolved. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

game_6299: The next vote for the Galactic Council is reported to occur in negative three turns; last turn it was estimated to occur in negative two turns. Probably not desired behavior.

Minor question about Tinkers

Are the Tinkers an 'elder' race like the Ashdar, Humans, and Gremak, or a 'younger' race like the Phidi, Orthin, and Yoral? I mean, I'd assume if they were about and active at the time of the Great War, the Ashdar Empire might have retained some memory of them...

I've not. My last two games have both had the Tinkers as one of the strongest AIs.

What WAS happening in game_6253?

I reported game_6253 as a bug earlier, about Ashdar Imperials suddenly having a trend of all their remaining colonies suddenly having population growth again after suffering mass starvation, despite not actually having any farms anywhere and only existing on null/low fertility worlds. Even if it's n...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

game_6253: The last few Ashdar Imperial colonies have started growing in population again, despite having no evident source of food. Is this a bug, or is there something intended going on I'm missing? (Shame I stirred myself to intervene too late- by the time I broke the back of the Tinker offensive...
