Re: Suggest - Features and Improvements

Now that the Tinkers have been introduced, as well as the Gremak, I think it should be a priority to teach the AI about the fine points of tyranny and liberation. The Gremak Empire, Tinkers, and Marauder bands should presumably actively work to enslave/harmonise dissident populations, while other em...

Looking forward to the roadmap update. Will be interesting to see what we have to look forward to.

Re: Lore Speculation: the Arda Seed and the Great War

Yeah, all the evidence I can find seems to suggest a three-sided conflict to me, and some of Praetor Yunki's comments about 'paying for the violence of our ancestors' combined with other bits of lore here and there really suggest to me the ancient Ashdar Empire was not shy about expanding by force.

Re: Lore Speculation: the Arda Seed and the Great War

I'm absolutely certain Humans were not allied with the Ashdar Empire against the Gremak. Humans, after all, still retain a grudge against the Ashdar, at least as much as against the Gremak. And there's a lot of evidence to suggest the old Ashdar Empire was aggressively expansionist, even if not as t...

Re: Lore Speculation: the Arda Seed and the Great War

On the last part, I think it's likely that the Gremak were winning the war, and were the "bad guys". They are slavers, and in game lore hints that they are not above eating their slaves. Further, their marauder bases are stocked with generational chattel slaves that are either Human or As...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

Probable bug: refitting a station with loaded space habitats to another design (with the same number of habitats) causes existing population on the old station to disappear. Probably not intended that overhauling the power core to allow science stations and replacing the armor should get rid of the ...

Lore Speculation: the Arda Seed and the Great War

I think, with the introduction of the Arda Seed and the indication that their efforts largely generate the warp lane network in the local galactic region, we have the hint that may help us understand what happened to disrupt FTL travel for the past 3000 years. We know for the fact that during the Gr...

Re: Please Report Missing and/or Placeholder Text

Xeno-Engineering, Improved Solar Panels, and Autorepair Systems join Subspace Networking as lacking any 'flavor text' for the technology.

Re: Please Report Missing and/or Placeholder Text

Well, the DLC is out, and Subspace Networking remains the one technology I am aware of that lacks any flavor text. (Flavor text would be particularly welcome for Subspace Networking, insofar as it hints at why its primary game effect is cheaper shipbuilding.)

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

Tinker Juggernaut mounts about 1/3 of its weapon mix in missiles/torpedoes. Should it not get built in munition storage like the human battleship (same class ship, human ship carries less missile compliment but has built in storage)? Unlike Humans, Tinkers get free in-battle ammunition replenishmen...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

Just got Tinkers asking for food in a diplomatic event, citing famine on Dzibix. Tinkers should probably be exempted from generating food request events.

Does clearing out a Hyperspace Anomaly 'do' anything for us currently?

I just won my first victory against the forces around a HSA, and there doesn't seem to be any associated event for that. Is it intended that there be some benefit from clearing out a HSA, or is it just a massive battle for no real practical benefit? Or is it just that whatever rewards are supposed t...

Re: Tech: Dreadnaughts?

Today I raided a priate base, boarded a ship and got the tech Dreadnaughts? This tech doesnt exist in my tech tree and apparently doesnt do anything. Is it some sort of 2 step way to get Super Dreadnaughts by taking it from the pirates instead of researching it? Not all playable factions have battl...

Re: Report - Current Bugs and Issues

game_4869- Other empires moving to a state of war without announcement or declaration is still a thing. Turn after contact with Gremak Empire, now at war without any announcement. Maybe not a blackscreen level bug, but being able to be 'ambushed' by war unless I check diplomacy every turn is not ver...
